What a Golf Outing Taught Me About Community ⛳๐Ÿพ

There's something that happens when people gather around a cause they believe in. The conversation flows a little easier. The laughter comes a little quicker. And somewhere between the first tee and the last hole, you remember why showing up matters. ๐Ÿ’›

That was the Dori's Love Train Golf Outing this year. ๐Ÿš‚

Every June, a wonderful group of people comes together at Fox Hills Golf Course to raise money for the Humane Society of Huron Valley — and every year, I'm reminded that this event is about so much more than golf. It's about community. It's about the people who say yes when asked to help. It's about honoring something bigger than ourselves. ๐Ÿ™Œ

This year felt especially meaningful. I'm so grateful to my LIVgreat Real Estate team for not only sponsoring the event but for showing up — literally. ๐Ÿก❤️ Having colleagues who believe in the same causes you do, who give their time and energy alongside you, is something I don't take for granted. It says everything about the kind of people they are.

In real estate, we talk a lot about finding the right home. But what I've come to believe — especially in my work with seniors and families navigating big life transitions — is that home is really about the community around it. It's the neighbors who wave. ๐Ÿ‘‹ The organizations that show up. The people who give back quietly, year after year, without needing recognition for it.

The golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters at Dori's Love Train are those people. ๐ŸŒŸ

If you were part of this year's event — thank you. ๐Ÿ™ You made a difference for animals in our community who can't advocate for themselves. And you reminded me, once again, why I'm proud to call Ann Arbor home. ๐Ÿ’™

Here's to community. Here's to showing up. And here's to next year. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’›⛳

Adjustable-Rate Mortgages Make a Comeback in Today’s Market ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ

As mortgage rates began to climb last week, some potential buyers started exploring alternative financing options—especially as their property choices increased and more sellers began offering concessions ๐Ÿค. In this evolving market, one type of mortgage is making a notable comeback: the adjustable-rate mortgage , or ARM . An ARM offers a lower initial interest rate compared to traditional fixed-rate mortgages, making it an attractive choice for buyers who want to keep their monthly payments more manageable in the short term ๐Ÿ’ต. This month, ARMs are especially popular among buyers of higher-priced homes who require larger loan amounts. In fact, nearly 10% of recent buyers have chosen an ARM —the highest rate since November 2023 ๐Ÿ”„. Why Are Buyers Considering ARMs Now? ๐Ÿค” Lower Initial Payments – The "teaser" or introductory rate on an ARM can be significantly lower than current fixed mortgage rates, making monthly payments more affordable for the first few years ๐Ÿ“‰.
