The University of Michigan's Housing Bureau for Seniors is proud to once again present Senior Living Week, an annual event dedicated to educating, connecting, and celebrating our senior community, their families, and caregivers. ๐Ÿก❤️ Senior Living Week is a unique opportunity to explore a variety of resources and perspectives on aging — and to empower older adults to live vibrant, fulfilling lives. ๐ŸŒฟ

This year’s theme, "Many Voices & Views: Supporting Each Other in Aging," reminds us that aging is a journey best navigated together, with the support, experience, and wisdom of many. ๐Ÿค

The Senior Living Week EXPO on October 11 will kick off the week’s activities. ๐Ÿš€ Attendees can meet with a wide variety of senior living service providers, offering everything from housing options to financial planning, mobility aids, caregiving resources, and more. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’ฌ In addition, there will be free health screenings, helping older adults stay proactive about their health and wellness. ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ’™

A highlight of the EXPO will be a special presentation by featured speaker and comedian Mariann Aalda, known for her humor and empowering message about aging. ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ˜‚ Mariann will deliver her lively performance, "S.N.A.P. OUT OF IT! You've Only Been Hypnotized Into Believing You're Over the Hill." Her talk promises to inspire, challenge stereotypes, and deliver a refreshing dose of laughter and confidence to everyone in attendance. ๐ŸŒˆ✨

Throughout the week, Senior Living Week will offer additional educational workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities — all designed to equip seniors and their loved ones with valuable information and a supportive community. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿค—
